This notice explains how Softlane (“Softlane”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through softlane.ai (the “site”). It covers the site only. Client engagements are covered by the agreement we sign with each client.
1. What we collect
Information you give us. When you use the "Request a demo" form, we collect:
- your name
- your work email address
- your company name
- an optional note about what you'd like to see
If you email us directly at hello@softlane.ai, we receive whatever you include in your message.
Technical information. When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically records standard request information, such as your IP address, browser and device type (user agent), the pages requested, and the date and time of each request.
Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how the site is used. It doesn't use cookies. It records information about visits, such as the pages viewed, the referring website, approximate location (country, region and city), device type, and browser and operating system type and version, and we see it as aggregated statistics. Instead of a cookie, Vercel distinguishes visits using a hash created from the request, which resets daily, and the analytics data isn't tied to your IP address. We don't use it to identify you or for advertising.
No advertising or cross-site tracking. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking tools on the site, and we don't use cookies to track you.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Because we don’t track visitors across sites or sell or share personal information, our site doesn’t change its behavior in response to browser Do Not Track signals. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request not to sell or share your information, which we already don’t do.
2. How we use it
We use the details you send through the demo form to reply to you about your request and to follow up with you about Softlane. We send newsletters or other marketing emails only if you opt in. You can stop follow-ups at any time by replying to any of our emails or by emailing hello@softlane.ai.
When you submit the form, your IP address is used briefly, held in server memory only, to limit repeated submissions and prevent spam. The form also includes a hidden field that helps us filter automated submissions. We use other technical information only to operate, secure and troubleshoot the site, and analytics only in aggregate, to understand how the site is used and improve it.
We never sell your personal information or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
3. Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run the site and handle your request. They process information on our behalf and only to provide their services to us:

4. When we share information
We share personal information only:
- with the service providers listed above, so they can provide their services to us
- if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety or security of Softlane, our users or others
- as part of a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, in which case the information stays subject to the commitments in this notice
5. How long we keep it
We keep demo requests and related email correspondence for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, and then delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
Our service providers, including Vercel (request logs and Web Analytics data) and Resend (email delivery logs), keep their own operational data for limited periods under their own policies. IP addresses used to limit repeated submissions are held only in server memory and aren't saved by us.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) to the site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
7. Your privacy rights
We offer the following rights to everyone who uses the site, wherever you live. California residents may also have these rights under California law.
- Know and access. You can ask what personal information we've collected about you, where we got it, why we use it, who we've disclosed it to, and for a copy of it.
- Delete. You can ask us to delete the personal information we've collected from you.
- Correct. You can ask us to correct personal information about you that's inaccurate.
No sale or sharing. We don't sell personal information. We don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, meaning advertising targeted to you based on your activity across other websites or services.
No sensitive personal information. We don't collect or use sensitive personal information through the site.
No discrimination. We won't treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
How to make a request. Email hello@softlane.ai with the subject "Privacy". To protect your information, we'll verify your request by confirming details we already hold, usually by replying to the email address you gave us. You can also ask someone you authorize to make a request for you. In that case we may ask for proof that they are authorized and confirm your identity directly with you.
8. Children
The site is meant for businesses and isn't directed to children under 16. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
9. International visitors
Softlane is based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. If you use the site or contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
10. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version here and update the date above.
